“Formosa Dark” oolong, (Taiwan), 50g

Oolong is a specialty originally produced in the mountains of Taiwan. After plucking, the tea is fermented to about 50% and then withered in the sun. Frequent turning in bamboo baskets during drying allows the oolong to develop a gentle aroma and large, wildly curled leaves. After brewing, the leaves reveal a noticeable green core with fermented edges. In the cup, the tea is very light with a highly floral and spicy flavor.
