When it comes to quality and extraordinary coffee character, Kenya ranks among the world’s best producers! Due to their rarity, Kenyan “pearl beans” are a true delicacy. If the coffee tree cannot provide enough nutrients to the cherry growing at the tip of the branch, only one bean develops in the cherry – the so-called pearl. This single bean gathers all the energy and grows so slowly that it becomes more aromatic than a regular bean. Our “pearls” come from the Kiundi region and are hand-picked from each harvest.

Character and Taste

An experienced roaster must apply all their skill and expertise during roasting, as the pearls are uniquely beautiful. When roasting succeeds, the typical chocolate-like character develops along with the soft, spicy body typical of Kenyan coffee.
