Pu-erh Tea

The pu-erh selection at Camellia includes various types and forms of pu-erh tea, primarily originating from Yunnan province, including the well-known Menghai region. Pu-erh is a tea whose character is shaped by processing methods, raw material and time, making each tea unique in style and depth.

Our assortment features both ripe Shu Pu-erh and raw Sheng Pu-erh. Shu Pu-erh is typically smooth, rounded and deep, with earthy, nutty or chocolate-like notes. Sheng Pu-erh is livelier and fresher, developing greater complexity as it ages. The selection includes pressed tea cakes from different years, classic Gong Ting–style pu-erh, as well as mini tuo cha portions.

In addition to traditional pu-erh teas, Camellia also offers pu-erh made from tea buds (Bai Ya) and a range of flavoured pu-erh teas, which are especially popular. These include blends with pistachio, citrus, floral and spice notes, where the character of pu-erh remains clearly present while being enhanced by gentle flavour accents.
