Vanilla is considered the queen of all spices. The Aztecs flavored their famous chocolate drink with vanilla. The vanilla pod is the fruit of a species of orchid native to Mexico. Hand-pollinated flowers take eight months to develop into pods, which are then processed through a complex fermentation procedure. During this process, the pods change color and develop their full aroma. Vanilla’s delicate, intense, and very popular flavor harmonizes beautifully with our black tea blend.
